Santa Monica PlaceThe new Santa Monica Place is being completely redeveloped as an appealing, open-air shopping and dining destination that connects with the vibrant Third Street Promenade and Santa Monica’s thriving downtown – as well as with the singular mindset of Santa Monica residents and visitors. At one of the most attractive retail sites in Southern California – Broadway and 3rd Street – and two blocks from the beach, the new Santa Monica Place will feature approximately 550,000 square feet of leasable area on three levels.
Opening this August, the project’s two anchor department stores are Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s. Already announced specialty retailers for the new Santa Monica Place include CB2, Nike, Burberry, Kitson, Coach, True Religion, Hugo Boss, Ted Baker, Tory Burch, Juicy Couture and many others. A key attraction will be the property’s signature rooftop Dining Deck with striking ocean and city views, five chef-driven restaurants, an elevated food court and an intriguing artisanal food market.
New and redevelopment projects at Macerich are limited and highly focused – on select, rare opportunities that capitalize on extraordinary market demographics and unmatched prospects for long-term success.
