Macerich shopping centers thrive alongside their local communities. From thousands of hours of employee volunteer time for local organizations each year to a gift card that supports sustainability and eco-friendly causes, Macerich works to give back through financial support, in-kind donations and partnerships with non-profit organizations.

Contributions and Guidelines
Macerich prioritizes involvement and support for community and charitable organizations, with a preference for programs and partnerships that have a long-term impact on communities where we do business.

However, Macerich does not support individual pursuits and private foundations; religious groups (except for secular activities open to those of all faiths); service clubs, fraternal organizations and sports teams.

The company will not support organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability or national origin.

Macerich Volunteer Program
Macerich encourages employees to contribute their talents during the work day to non-profit organizations chosen by local teams. Employees also apply for grant dollars for these organizations through the Macerich Louise Marquez Awards program, which offers grants up to $80,000 per year.
